I'm Brendan Smith-Elion, VP of AI & Automation at Arcadia, a healthcare data and analytics company. I personally build production agentic AI there: multi-agent assistants, LLM evaluation and observability platforms, and document-workflow orchestration.

I've spent 20+ years building healthcare products: cardiology PACS at Agfa, clinical workflows at athenahealth, a healthcare data platform at Verily (Alphabet), and now AI-first work at Arcadia.

I write about what it takes to make AI trustworthy on real healthcare data, from AI confidence scores to semantic interoperability. Outside work I build independent projects in my own time, separate from my employer.
